Dream about bleeding blood

Bleeding blood shows a moment where the very essence of what makes you whole is escaping. This dream means your strength is leaking away, like water escaping from a bucket that has been left out in the sun.

You feel the pull of this drain on your spirit. When this happens, the energy that usually sustains your connections and your drive begins to wander away. Something precious is being spent and nothing is coming to take its place. I have seen my own vigor ebb when I let my care wander into empty rooms. A certain heaviness settles in when you realize you are running on less than you started with.

When the blood comes in a rush or a flood, the dream speaks of a sudden storm that breaks over your life. This great outpouring carries the force of a disaster that leaves you unable to catch your breath.

Dripping or shedding blood in small amounts makes the dream a matter of a slow, constant emptying. This rhythm of loss is like a cup that never stays full, where your spirit is worn away bit by bit.

Bleeding black blood changes the direction of the loss entirely, as the darkness of the color suggests that what is being lost is something dark and bitter that has taken root inside you.
